Lead Pastor

Choe is our accident prone, bad joke telling, hug-loving, tech-nerd lead pastor. He began his call to ministry as an intern here at Junction under Dale Denton and became our lead pastor in 2008. His favorite part about leading is getting to know so many people and getting to encourage people on their faith journeys. He prides himself in only looking for direction from God (no really he is notorious for getting lost on family vacations because he won’t listen to a GPS). His hobbies include: grilling out for his wife Amanda and their kids: Mariela, Solomon, and Joel, fishing, showing off what his ring doorbell camera caught last night, talking into his watch like a spy, wearing white shoes- only during a global pandemic, short walks on the beach, and long falls off of ladders. He thinks of himself as a progressive when it comes to clothing choices like an orange watch band, that he WILL argue is ‘clementine’.
